About Perennial

Perennial Power was established in 2002 as  a joint venture of Sumitomo Corporation  and its largest subsidiary, Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, to acquire assets in the U.S. energy industry.

Our objectives are as follows:

  • Develop conventional power generation projects
  • Acquire operating conventional power generation projects
  • Own, operate, and maintain conventional power generation projects as both general partnership and limited partnership

We are actively seeking to develop, acquire, and operate quality power plants in North and Latin Americas. We are focusing on clean and efficient power generation technologies utilizing natural gas, coal and geothermal energy, while seeking ways to enhance the reliability of power grid, including energy storage.
